With ambitious plans for further expansion, we are committed to making a lasting industry impact. We are currently looking for a Head of Supply Chain & Logistics.

We will be flexible regarding location for the right candidate, with expectations to work closely with our teams in Cardiff and Crawley, as well as supporting our wider national presence.

Overall Purpose of the role:

The Head of Supply Chain & Logistics oversees the group's purchasing strategy and operations, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality and supplier reliability. Responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, optimizing purchasing activities, and ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

Main Purpose of the role:

Manage and direct procurement of all goods and services for the Group across four subsidiaries, with annual revenue over £175m. Responsibilities include sourcing suppliers, vendor negotiations, managing contracts, and ensuring procurement consistency and quality across subsidiary stores.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Identify potential suppliers, conduct interviews, negotiate agreements, and manage contracts.
• Oversee procurement activities across subsidiaries, ensuring service quality and consistency.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.
• Monitor market trends to maintain a competitive procurement process.
• Build strong supplier relationships for quality, service, and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure contractual compliance.
• Analyze procurement spend for cost savings and process improvements.
• Manage procurement budgets within approved limits.
• Implement best procurement practices to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
• Draft, review, and approve supplier contracts, ensuring legal compliance.
• Manage contract renewals for supply continuity.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, legal departments for seamless procurement.
• Understand internal requirements and provide excellent procurement service.
• Implement inventory management systems for tracking and performance.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions.
• Develop contingency plans for shortages or delays.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.
• Implement sustainable procurement policies.
• Report procurement performance, savings, and risks to senior management.
• Utilize data analytics for informed decision-making.
• Develop strategies to reduce carbon impact and support ESG policies.
• Ensure supplier rate data in systems is current and accurate.
