Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of the learning sciences, instructional design, and cognitive or behavioural science.
• You translate learning science into clear, specific requirements for technical teams.
• Strong practice evaluating learning impact with studies and data.
• Experience working with engineers, data scientists or product developers.
• Technical literacy in how AI systems are built.
• Excellent communication to influence senior stakeholders and represent the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design of learning goals, skill models, adaptivity logic and feedback systems across flagship client engagements.
• Creating and owning Faculty’s Learning Science Playbook with scaffolding, feedback loops and data instrumentation.
• Designing and overseeing rigorous evaluations that prove learning improvements.
• Partnering with product, data science and engineering to ensure robust, pedagogically sound systems.
• Contributing learning science to safety and assurance work for AI in education.
• Coaching colleagues to apply learning science in design and delivery decisions.
• Acting as internal and external subject-matter expert on learning science with senior stakeholders.
