Job summary

OpenAI in London seeks an Applied AI Architect for Education to own the technical strategy for a portfolio of education customers, guiding their journey from pre‑sales discovery through deployment and measurable impact.

You will shape adoption roadmaps across models, APIs, and data governance, coordinating with executive leaders and delivery teams to deliver durable value while ensuring responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical account leadership, AI deployment, or technical customer success.
• Experience guiding complex organizations from technical evaluation through production adoption and measurable value realization.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical and business leaders as well as hands-on engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical account plan across education customers and pre-sales prospects.
• Lead discovery with institutional executives and academic leaders to identify use cases and adoption priorities.
• Translate priorities into actionable adoption roadmaps with clear milestones and governance.
• Build trusted relationships with CIOs, provosts, deans, and researchers to enable value realization.
• Coordinate with Deployment Engineering, training, product, and partners to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
