Job summary

University of Oxford’s Saïd Online seeks a Head of Learning Delivery and Experience to shape and deliver an outstanding learning experience for a global online community. You will lead student success and academic delivery teams, ensuring high-quality content, live sessions and proactive learner support.

You will use data to inform decisions, drive continuous improvement, recruit and develop tutors, and partner with faculty to enhance engagement, retention and outcomes across online programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Student Success and Academic Success functions, aligning priorities with Oxford Saïd Online strategy.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams with a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Shape and deliver the student experience and academic success roadmap to enhance engagement, retention and outcomes.
• Use data to drive decision-making, measure participant success and translate insights into targeted interventions.
• Oversee academic delivery and engagement, including tutors, live sessions, marking quality assurance and appeals.
• Plan resources and succession, ensuring capacity and support to meet learner needs and maintain service standards.
• Design and embed efficient processes for student support, academic management and success-tracking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the School to anticipate needs and respond to online education developments.
• Provide leadership in recruitment, onboarding, training and scheduling of tutors; manage line management and development.
