Job summary

Redmore Recruitment Limited based in Bristol is seeking a Head of IT to take full ownership of a growing technology estate within a regulated environment. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape strategy while leading day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, security and compliance.

This hands-on leader will manage budgets, suppliers and complex projects, ensuring risk management, resilience and continuous improvement across the tech stack.

Qualifications

• Extensive IT operations, systems engineering and infra management.
• Proven track record in leading and mentoring IT teams.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS and hybrid infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
• Strong networking fundamentals.
• Practical cybersecurity experience.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers, contracts and technology budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT infrastructure, networks and cloud architecture.
• Lead on-premise and cloud environments including AWS.
• Manage identity and device management with Entra ID and Intune.
• Strengthen cybersecurity, EDR and SIEM capabilities.
• Ensure information security, GDPR compliance and regulatory standards.
• Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Define IT strategy, roadmap and budget management.
• Develop and mentor the internal IT team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with business goals.
