Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a Head of IT to lead the internal IT function as we grow. The role is based primarily at our Bristol office with travel to Cardiff and Midsomer Norton and a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

You will own the corporate IT estate, lead a small in-house team, and manage our MSP relationships, overseeing cyber security, device management and cross‑functional IT delivery. Ideal candidates will have substantial IT leadership experience in engineering/manufacturing

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading an internal IT function in a growing organisation.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft cloud estate: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender and CA, plus Mac management.
• Experience managing an MSP and IT suppliers with SLAs, reviews and renewals.
• Experience delivering IT projects and IT budgets in a change-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the in-house IT team and manage service delivery with the MSP.
• Own the corporate IT estate end to end: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoints, networks and AV.
• Define support routing, escalations, service levels and supplier accountability.
• Manage MSP performance, service reviews and contract renewals.
• Own the 12-month IT delivery plan and contribute to the technology roadmap.
• Protect data assets and manage cyber security across the estate.
• Ensure external communications reflect company values and professionalism.
• Maintain endpoint and identity platforms (device management, security, remote access).
• Collaborate with system owners for ERP, Jira, HR tools and automation.
