Job summary

McLaren Racing Ltd is seeking a Lead Internal Communications Partner for F1. In this high‑impact role, you will partner with F1 Technical and the Team Principal Office to translate complex technical priorities into clear, engaging internal communications that support performance.

You will shape strategy, coach leaders, improve channels and messaging, and deliver precise communications across McLaren’s organisation from the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Internal Communications or related field.
• Experience in sport, engineering or technology desirable.
• Ability to translate complexity into clear messages.
• Strong copywriting and presentation skills.
• Experience with change management and workplace culture evolution.
• Experience engaging employees via events, film and photography.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Ability to work with senior leaders and technical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Internal Communications strategy for F1 Technical and Team Principal Office.
• Partner with senior leadership to shape leadership narratives.
• Improve communication flow across F1 Technical and establish rhythms.
• Translate complex priorities into clear, actionable communications.
• Create and publish content across McLaren Racing's channels.
• Support organisational evolution, culture, leadership and technology priorities.
• Provide targeted communications support to Team Principal Office.
• Lead cross-functional communications projects under deadlines.
• Monitor and evaluate communications activity with metrics.
• Support organisational change while protecting cultural principles.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships and mentor junior team members.
