Job summary

Sagentia Defence seeks a Head of Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) Design to lead the end-to-end IFP design pipeline and drive a market-facing vertical. You will be the focal point for our IFP capability, engaging internally and externally to grow the business and ensure delivery success.

The role requires a proven manager with an established aviation network, capable of managing a team, growing revenue, and delivering high-quality procedures across projects in the UK context.

Qualifications

• CAA Authorised Procedure Designer with prior experience in an APDO.
• Up-to-date understanding of flight procedure regulations.
• Proven ability to lead a team and deliver cross-functional results.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and present integrated value.
• Strong commercial understanding of UK aviation terms and quality.
• Develop long-term growth plans and market opportunities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with senior stakeholders.
• Degree qualification or equivalent in the aviation field.
• Relevant software capability to manage deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the complete IFP design pipeline aligned with business needs.
• Own the technical capability, its maintenance and strategy.
• Assure project management and financial performance delivery.
• Resource management across bids and projects to meet goals.
• Plan development of capability, manage direct reports and cross-team engagement.
