Job summary

Huxley in Glasgow is seeking a Head of Infrastructure, Operations & Security to lead a team delivering secure infrastructure and IT security services. You will oversee 6 engineers (security, cloud) and drive cyber security strategy, safe design, and major projects including legacy system decommissioning.

The role is initially a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent, with a competitive salary and benefits. Hybrid working with office attendance in Glasgow.

Responsibilities

Role details

• Title: Head of Infrastructure, Operations & Security
• Employer: STEM business
• Location: Glasgow, and home working hybrid flexible
• Permanent role, salary £90-110,000 plus bonus- 6 months FTC Initially
• Focus of the role : day to day line management of 6 infrastructure employees (security/cloud), project work, cybersecurity strategy delivery

As Head of IT Infrastructure & Security, you will lead the infrastructure and operations teams and ultimately be responsible for all the infrastructure, digital workplace and IT security services.

The role will ensure secure solutions design, management, maintenance and performance of core Infrastructure and end user devices.

You will be leading a team of 6 employees across infrastructure (focus on cyber security and cloud) as well as leading the strategy and delivery of key projects including de- commissioning of legacy worlds, improving cyber security safety etc.

This role is initially set as a 6-month fixed term contract (with permanent employee salary and benefits) with the plan to convert to a full time permanent role if everyone is happy at the end of that review.
