Job summary

Chapman Tate Associates is seeking a Head of IT to own technology infrastructure, core business systems and broader IT operations across a multi-site UK operation.

You will shape the technology strategy to support rapid growth, manage a small internal IT team, oversee ERP/mainframe environments, lead supplier relationships, and deliver projects that enhance resilience and productivity. This is an opportunity to influence the roadmap and ensure IT capability scales with the business.

• Working with senior leadership to balance day-to-day IT management with long-term strategy
• Speaking with IT leaders in fast-paced, multi-site environments

Job description

We’re supporting a growing UK business with the appointment of a Head of IT to take ownership of its technology infrastructure, core business systems and wider IT operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation experiencing significant growth, with further expansion planned across the UK and internationally.

The Head of IT will work closely with the senior leadership team, balancing the day-to-day management of a busy IT environment with the longer-term technology strategy needed to support the organisation’s growth.

The role will include:

• Oversight of core business systems, ERP and/or mainframe environments
• Leadership of a small internal IT team

• Supporting technology projects, upgrades and systems improvements

We’re particularly interested in speaking with IT leaders who have worked within retail, distribution, logistics, warehousing or another fast-paced, multi-site environment.

You could currently be operating as an IT Manager, Senior IT Manager or Head of IT and be looking for an opportunity where you can have greater ownership and influence.

Experience of managing business-critical ERP or mainframe-based systems would be highly advantageous.
