Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Head of HR People Services for a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working - 3 days in the Maidenhead Town Hall. Salary £69,083 - £75,442 per annum.

The role leads the HR service, ensuring a cohesive, customer-focused operation within statutory and policy frameworks. You will oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle services, HR systems, reporting, and data-driven decision making while delivering the RBWM People Plan 2030 and related HR

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading multiple HR areas and operations.
• Extensive experience in payroll, reward and benefits management and compliance.
• Track record in delivering complex HR transformation projects and system implementations.
• Experience of HR systems leadership, improvement of automation, reporting and data insight.
• Experience using HR analytics to inform strategic decisions and workforce planning.
• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and lead teams.
• Experience with budget management and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end employee lifecycle services including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, pay and benefits administration, HR systems, and employee data management.
• Drive automation, reporting, and data-led decision making to improve service performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across People Services and embed efficiency and customer focus.
• Provide strategic leadership for corporate HR and projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Lead teams to deliver RBWM People Plan 2030 initiatives and HR strategies.
• Provide expert advice on people services, workforce data, reward strategy and project delivery.
• Develop and present high-quality reports, business cases, and cabinet papers for senior stakeholders.
