Are you experienced in Local Government Housing Association/Development? If yes, you are invited to consider the opportunities we have at the London Borough of Richmond and Wandsworth Borough Council Better Service Partnership. Wandsworth council is pioneering a place-based approach to renewal that recognises the unique character of its diverse neighbourhoods while delivering coordinated change at scale. You will be responsible for a key workstream in this approach overseeing the housing development process from the earliest feasibility stages to post-completion and aftercare. You will bring your broad experience to support an experienced team that is well on track to deliver an initial target of 1,000 new homes for Council Rent, whilst exploring future opportunities to expand delivery under a cross-subsidy model.
You will lead on delivery of the Councils housing development programmes, adding value to our communities through links to wider, place-based initiatives and community engagement.
You will proactively work with colleagues across the councils Housing Development and Regeneration Team, Housing, Finance, Enabling and others - developing new homes in accordance with the Councils consistent high standards, making brilliant places to live.
Through regular touchpoints with project managers and supported by dedicated staff, you will report on key information such as timescales, outcomes, budgets and risks. You will ensure this information is collated in a way that can be easily managed and reviewed by others through programme management tools such as SDS ProVal and Sequel, Power Bi and other software such as PowerPoint and Excel.
