Job summary

OpenWorks Engineering Ltd is seeking a Head of Hardware & Systems Engineering to lead a growing team across Mechanical, Electronics and Systems, turning advanced technology into robust, manufacturable products that protect people and critical assets around the world.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll drive capability, standards and delivery from concept through to manufacture, shaping the future of OpenWorks’ defence-grade solutions on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering leadership in multidisciplinary R&D and produto development.
• Strong Systems, Mechanical or Electronics background with degree or equivalent.
• Track record of taking products from concept through verification and manufacture.
• Good judgment on requirements, integration, risks and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team across Mechanical, Electronics and Systems to a high performance.
• Drive delivery by turning product priorities into achievable plans across projects.
• Provide technical leadership, set engineering standards and guide complex decisions.
• Take concepts into production with prototyping, verification and NPI.
• Collaborate with Software, Intelligence & Autonomy, Product and Operations.
• Clarify priorities and remove barriers across functions.
