OpenWorks Engineering LTD. seeks a Head of Software Engineering to lead software for advanced electro‑optic products protecting people and assets worldwide. You will report to the CTO, guide a growing team, and shape capabilities, standards and delivery from concept to deployment and in‑service improvements.

This role offers high‑impact leadership in a defence‑tech environment, with international deployments and a strong focus on team growth, product reliability and engineering excellence.

Qualificações

• Proven software leadership in complex R&D/product environments.
• Strong C++ development background with relevant degree or equivalent.
• Experience delivering software on real‑time embedded platforms; cross‑discipline collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the software team with clear objectives and recruitment.
• Drive delivery by turning priorities into achievable plans across projects.
• Provide technical leadership: architecture, standards, and delivery ownership.
• Lead software development from prototyping to deployment and supportability.
• Deliver integrated products with cross‑functional teams including hardware and operations.
• Clarify priorities and remove blockers across functions to enable progress.
• Improve productivity by sharing progress and risks with the CTO and stakeholders.
