Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a research-calibre statistician to lead the statistical depth and production-ready modelling for Growth AI Performance System. You will translate complex quantitative methods into actionable client insights, collaborating with engineers and senior teams across marketing, pricing, and brand analytics.

The role combines research-grade statistics with software discipline, ensuring models are robust, reproducible, and trusted by clients at scale.

Qualifications

• PhD in statistics or equivalent quantitative field is desirable.
• Strength in hierarchical Bayesian methods and causal inference.
• Ability to derive models from first principles and implement them in Python.
• Experience translating complex statistics for C-suite and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set and own the statistical standard across all Growth AI modules.
• Lead the hardest modelling problems with custom likelihoods and priors.
• Implement estimators in Python and ensure identifiability and convergence.
• Reframe client questions when models cannot answer them adequately.
• Define data quality and validation standards across modules.
