THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners is supporting a large-cap private equity asset within professional services to build a high-performing group finance team preparing for an IPO transaction. Due to significant growth, M&A, and private equity investment, they seek an experienced and dynamic FP&A professional to play a key role during this significant scale-up. As Head of Group FP&A, you will drive planning & analysis and serve as a key contact for senior stakeholders across the business. You should have experience from previous listings, private equity transactions, or FTSE companies and provide critical support to growth initiatives.

THE ROLE:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and growth plan.
• Build a high-caliber team capable of robust financial models and scenario analyses to support IPO valuation and investor discussions.
• Report directly to CFO, PE investors, external advisors, and C-suite executives.
• Focus on transformation: driving higher output and quality through FP&A, with effective processes and controls.
• Lead the development and implementation of best-in-class FP&A systems, tools, and automation initiatives.
• Ensure scalability of reporting frameworks to meet private equity and potential public listing demands.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to project future financial performance and support strategic decisions.
• Provide strategic financial input to the executive team and private equity investors.
• Oversee Capex planning, forecasting, and ROI analysis, ensuring disciplined capital allocation.
• Board and Investor Reporting: articulate financial performance, KPIs, and strategic priorities clearly to external stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather and analyze data, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven track record as a Group FP&A lead, Director of FP&A, or Head of Group FP&A.
• 10–15+ years PQ experience in large-cap professional or financial services.
• A strong finance education (ACA/Chartered Accountant) with a track record in senior finance roles within large, complex organizations.
• Experience in top professional services firms, ideally in Transaction Services, as part of your accounting qualification.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
