Job summary

Live Recruitment is assisting a major sports rights holder in recruiting a Head of Events and Stakeholders for a world‑class sporting event. The role is hybrid, with 2 days in the office, and runs on a fixed-term contract through October 2027.

You will lead the official functions and stakeholder programmes, work with government bodies, host venues and international partners, and manage budgets, venues, tickets and guest lists across high‑profile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering large-scale functions such as galas or ceremonies.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management with government bodies, venues and partners.
• Budget responsibility and supplier oversight at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of all official functions including opening ceremonies and host nation events.
• Build and manage relationships with government bodies, host venues and international governing bodies.
• Develop and oversee stakeholder ticketing, inventory allocation and fulfilment processes.
• Manage seating plans, guest lists and protocol requirements for official functions.
• Develop and manage budgets across all stakeholder events and functions.
• Oversee event agencies, production suppliers and service providers.
• Coordinate attendance, registration and event access alongside guest services.
• Provide onsite support and management.
