Job summary

Royal London is recruiting a Head of Events to lead the organisation’s events portfolio across colleague, member and external audiences. You will shape a strategy connecting events to our purpose, values and priorities, delivering engaging experiences in virtual, hybrid and in-person formats.

You will influence investment decisions, lead the events team, and ensure activity delivers measurable impact and value while maintaining governance, quality and budget discipline across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale campaigns and events in a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to run in-person, virtual and hybrid events.
• Credible with senior leaders and able to influence decisions.
• Strong financial and supplier-management skills.
• Leadership to develop a high-performing events team.

Responsibilities

• Set the events strategy and annual plan for Royal London.
• Lead governance across the events portfolio with controls and risk management.
• Oversee medium to large-scale events across formats within budget.
• Advise senior sponsors and translate proposals into recommendations.
• Champion accessible, audience-first event experiences reflecting Royal London's values.
• Manage events budget, forecasting and supplier relationships.
• Lead and develop the events team with clear ways of working.
