Job summary

The Economist Group seeks an experienced Head of Event Programming for its EuroFinance & CPI portfolios. You will lead a six-person team to develop editorially rigorous, commercially relevant content for global conferences, webinars and closed-door events.

You will secure senior speakers, collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Editorial and Operations, and drive programme quality while aligning with delegate growth and portfolio revenue.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable background in conference production, specifically within major global B2B gatherings.
• Experience leading teams through complex production lifecycles and tight deadlines.
• Ability to master an existing portfolio quickly and maintain operational pace.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production cycles for agendas and programming with a six-person team.
• Secure senior speakers including CFOs and industry leaders to ensure top-tier speaker quality.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Editorial and Operations from concept to post-event evaluation.
• Refine event positioning, craft compelling programme copy and identify content territories for sponsorships.
• Provide on-site senior programming leadership, manage speakers and adapt to schedule changes.
• Drive continuous improvement by introducing new session formats based on feedback.
• Represent EuroFinance publicly to strengthen its network and reputation.
