Job summary

The Economist Group seeks a Head of Event Programming for EuroFinance on a six-month FTC in London. You will lead a six-person programming team, shape content across a global portfolio of conferences and webinars, and ensure editorial rigor with commercial alignment.

You will oversee speaker acquisition, on-site leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement of formats to deliver valuable experiences for senior treasury audiences.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable background in conference production, especially large global B2B events.
• Experience leading and coaching a fast-paced programming team.
• Ability to master an existing portfolio with credible leadership quickly.
• Strong project coordination, prioritisation and risk mitigation skills.
• Excellent editorial standards balanced with commercial aims.
• Understanding of B2B event dynamics and sponsorship value.
• Comfort engaging with senior partners and industry figures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end production cycles for agendas and events.
• Lead acquisition of senior speakers including CFOs and industry leaders.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, editorial and operations from concept to post-event evaluation.
• Develop high-impact programme copy and content territories to support sponsorships.
• Provide senior on-site leadership for speaker management and timing.
• Drive innovation by introducing new session formats and improving processes.
• Represent EuroFinance publicly at events and in industry conversations.
