Are you passionate about Geography and eager to lead and inspire students at a vibrant Secondary School & Sixth Form in Hackney? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual for the role of Head of Geography/Teacher of Geography to join our exceptional team.

Head of Geography/Teacher of Geography Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and comprehensive Geography curriculum.
  • Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support and mentor Geography teachers, promoting professional development.
  • Organize field trips and extracurricular activities related to Geography.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

Head of Geography/Teacher of Geography Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at secondary school level.
  • Strong leadership skills and previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
