100% REMOTE M&A Research Analyst INDIA (M&A Analyst INDIA) London, England

Salary: GBP30000 - GBP35000 per annum + salary will be in RUPEES

This is a rare & exciting opportunity for a JUNIOR ANALYST to take first steps into M&A as a Trainee M&A ANALYST based in INDIA. This role is 100% remote but based in India and full training is provided. In a nutshell, you will be doing the “detective” work exploring technology businesses that may be open to a merger or acquisition opportunity and then getting involved in deal structure. Title: 100% REMOTE: M&A Research Analyst- INDIA

Salary: Up to RUPEES 1,550,000 per annum + 20% bonus

Location: 100% remote in Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore

Language: English and ideally German

Experience required: 1-3 years finance experience but looking for next step

The company is a true meritocracy, offering real career opportunities and earnings potential. Recently, they acquired businesses in South America (Uruguay, Chile, Peru) and are operating successfully in Europe and the USA. They are now looking for a talented analyst to work in the Indian market.

The role in a nutshell: You will support the M&A team to research and identify businesses ripe for acquisition or funding. Your role will involve 1) Analysis and 2) M&A deal support.

Full training will be provided. This is an unusual opportunity to take a first or next step into a career in Corporate finance.

DUTIES

Be a “detective”: Research Analysis (80%)

  • Research potential acquisition targets
  • Work towards a successful “investment profile” of target companies
  • Research and locate decision makers in large multinationals
  • Rank companies and identify “carve out” opportunities
  • Upload and manage all potential acquisition data on the in-house system (full training provided)
  • Undertake market research across geographies for acquisition opportunities
  • Map out relevant software M&A advisors, from international to regional boutiques
  • Explore third-party data sources, industry lists, and trade conferences to understand acquisition opportunities
  • Rank and categorize companies, then pass info to the sales team for contact

M&A Deal Support (20%)

  • Assist with market analysis, contract review, financial analysis, and due diligence
  • Prepare investment memorandums
  • Support Business Development Executives and Group Leaders
  • Maintain constant communication with internal teams
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ideally fluent in Hindi
  • Knowledge and/or interest in software and technology sectors
  • Good Excel skills (manipulating data from multiple sources)
  • 1-3 years experience in accounting, finance, or private equity
