Job Title: Head of FP&A Financial Planning and Analysis, Stoke-on-Trent

Company Details:

Based on the outskirts of Newcastle-under-Lyme, this multi-site operation has been growing exponentially over 5 years and remains a leader in its field. They operate from state-of-the-art offices within a regulated environment. The role is an interim 12-month contract to cover maternity leave, with a retention bonus offered for completing the term.

Role Overview:

The FP&A Manager oversees financial planning and analysis activities across multiple sites, supporting strategic decision-making and financial goal achievement. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance analysis, strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, process improvement, compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement processes for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic planning.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor variances, and provide insights for financial performance improvement.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and communicate financial reports, including statements and key findings, to senior management.
4. Performance Analysis: Conduct financial analysis of KPIs and metrics, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and collaborating on improvement initiatives.
5. Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term strategic plans, evaluate investment opportunities, and advise on financial implications.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with site managers and stakeholders to gather data and provide financial guidance.
7. Process Enhancement: Improve financial processes, tools, and methodologies, staying updated with industry trends.
8. Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, providing guidance on legal and regulatory changes.
9. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and foster a high-performing financial team.

Qualifications & Experience:

Applicants must have proven experience in a lead FP&A role, preferably in a multi-site or professional services environment. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and familiarity with ERP systems and spreadsheets are essential. Leadership and interpersonal skills are also required.
