BBF Limited

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our finance team in a fast-paced UK food manufacturing business. This role is pivotal in providing strategic financial insights, driving profitability, and ensuring robust financial planning processes to support the company's growth objectives.

As the FP&A Manager, you will lead the data and performance analysis strategy and play a key role in financial forecasting, budgeting, and partnering closely with senior management, commercial and supply chain teams to optimise decision-making and enhance financial performance.

The role of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager at BBF

Data and Performance Analysis Strategy:

  1. Lead the continued development of performance metrics across the business
  2. Develop reporting and analysis tools
  3. Review and introduce the use of AI based analytics
  4. Increase the adoption of data analytics and technology in decision making
  5. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
  6. Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
  7. Provide insightful variance analysis, identifying key risks and opportunities
  8. Monitor business performance through KPI analysis, identifying trends and areas for improvement

Business Partnering & Commercial Finance:

  1. Work closely with sales and supply chain teams to understand margin performance
  2. Support pricing, cost control, and profitability analysis to drive sustainable growth
  3. Provide financial insights to support investment decisions, new product launches, and supply chain efficiencies
  4. Challenge and influence stakeholders to drive margin improvements

Reporting & Compliance:

  1. Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including management accounts and board presentations.
  2. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies.
  3. Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.

Process Improvement & Systems Development:

  1. Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, planning, and analysis processes.
  2. Leverage financial systems and tools to enhance data accuracy and efficiency
  3. Implement best practices in financial management and decision support

Key Requirements

  1. Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent).
  2. Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a related industry.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting expertise. Advanced Excel, MS Business Intelligence (or similar)
  4. Commercial Acumen: Understanding of cost structures, supply chain finance, and margin analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  5. Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and non-financial teams.
  7. Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges.
