Job summary

Referment is seeking a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in London. This hands-on, execution-focused role will build and run the bank’s financial models, lead budgeting, forecasting and multi-year planning, and partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Treasury and Risk.

You will develop driver-based forecasting for metrics like net interest income, operating costs and customer growth, produce management information for executives, and support capital and liquidity planning.

Qualifications

• Seasoned FP&A leader with end-to-end modelling experience in financial services.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and multi-year planning in a bank.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills with VBA; Python for automation.
• Strong communication of complex analysis to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and own end-to-end financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Lead forecasting, budgeting and multi-year planning with variance analysis.
• Develop driver-based forecasts for key banking metrics.
• Provide MI and performance insight to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Treasury and Risk on balance sheet and capital considerations.
• Create planning tools in Excel/Sheets; use Python to automate analysis.
• Support capital- and regulatory-aware planning and governance.
• Enable audit-ready processes and investor reporting packs.
