Job summary

Broster Buchanan are partnering with a leading services business based in Manchester to appoint a Head of FP&A. Reporting to the CFO, this high-profile role will shape the FP&A function and influence strategic decision-making across the organisation.

The successful candidate will lead a commercial finance team, drive budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning, and provide senior stakeholders with actionable insight to support growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Significant FP&A and commercial finance experience.
• Experience operating at a senior level within a complex services-led organisation.
• Excellent analytical and modelling skills to translate data into insight.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the FP&A function, driving a high-performing, commercially focused team.
• Owning the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.
• Providing insightful analysis and performance reporting to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team.
• Translating financial and operational data into clear, actionable commercial insight.
• Partnering with senior operational leaders to drive performance, profitability and growth.
• Developing and enhancing management information, reporting and KPI frameworks.
• Supporting strategic projects, investment decisions and business planning.
• Driving continuous improvement across FP&A processes, systems and reporting.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a high-profile role with significant influence across the organisation. The successful candidate will lead the FP&A function, providing the insight, challenge and commercial perspective needed to support strategic decision-making and continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance leader who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment and wants to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing the FP&A function, driving a high-performing, commercially focused team

We are looking for:

• A strong finance professional with significant FP&A and commercial finance experience
• Experience operating at a senior level within a complex, ideally services-led, organisation
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight
• A confident business partner who can influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Strong leadership capability, with experience building and developing high-performing teams
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
