Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a key part in shaping business performance, providing strategic insight and supporting investment decisions. Working closely with senior leaders across Product, Commercial, Sales, Technology and Operations, you'll ensure finance is viewed as a trusted commercial partner, influencing decisions at Executive and Board level.

This is a broad, commercially focussed high-impact position suited to someone who enjoys operating beyond traditional FP&A, combining strategic planning, commercial finance and business partnering with the opportunity to modernise reporting, forecasting and data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to provide commercial insight and financial challenge.
  • Support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and business growth through robust financial analysis.
  • Develop business cases, scenario modelling and ROI analysis for key projects.
  • Analyse customer, product and commercial performance to identify opportunities to improve profitability and growth.
  • Influence decision-making by translating complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Lead the annual budget, rolling forecast and long-range planning processes.
  • Own monthly management reporting, providing meaningful analysis and commentary on financial performance.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards and performance metrics that support informed decision-making.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy through enhanced modelling, stakeholder engagement and data quality.
  • Support Board reporting and investor presentations with clear financial insight and performance narratives.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency and cash generation.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting and forecasting.
  • Champion automation, AI and data-led decision making across the finance function.
  • Improve reporting capabilities through enhanced data visualisation and self-service dashboards.
  • Develop an FP&A function recognised for commercial insight and value creation.
About You
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Significant experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering.
  • Background in technology, software, SaaS, fintech, payments or another recurring revenue business is preferred.
  • Experience operating within a private equity-backed or other high-growth environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experience building financial models, business cases and strategic plans.
  • Confident presenting financial information to Executive and Board-level audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Power BI, SQL or similar reporting tools.
  • Passion for improving processes through automation, AI and better use of data.
You’ll Be Successful If You
  • Build strong relationships across the business and become a trusted commercial partner.
  • Deliver accurate, insightful forecasting that supports strategic decision-making.
  • Influence investment, pricing and commercial decisions through high-quality financial analysis.
  • Improve reporting, data quality and forecasting through automation and continuous improvement.
  • Help create a finance function focused on commercial insight rather than transactional reporting.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where collaboration, curiosity and accountability are highly valued.
