Job summary

Goodman Masson is partnering with a PE-backed environmental business in London seeking a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to establish and scale a best-in-class FP&A function. The role reports one direct report and focuses on driving EBITDA growth, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic evaluation including M&A activity.

You will partner with the CFO, CEO and operations to highlight risks, opportunities and performance improvements, deliver board packs and lead a culture of commercial

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with minimum 5 years PQE.
• PE or larger company experience to understand what good looks like.
• Capable of building and leading a small but efficient team.
• Strong systems knowledge with ability to implement AI.
• Excellent communication skills with influencing ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term planning and scenario analysis.
• Own monthly management reporting, delivering clear insight into revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and business performance.
• Partner with the CFO, CEO and operational leaders to identify risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
• Drive EBITDA growth and track delivery against the value creation plan and investment case.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis and cash conversion.
• Prepare board packs, investor reporting and financial performance updates for the PE sponsor.
• Support strategic decision-making, investment appraisal, M&A and exit readiness where relevant.
• Improve financial models, reporting processes, systems and KPI visibility.
• Lead and develop the FP&A function, embedding a culture of commercial challenge, accountability and continuous improvement.

My client will be growing massively over the next few years mainly through M&A activity. For this role you will have 1 direct report and have the opportunity to build out a best in class FP&A function.
