Housing Northwest Ltd. is seeking a Head of Financial Reporting to lead the production of statutory accounts, oversee monthly reporting, and strengthen financial controls.

The role is based in Didsbury with hybrid working, requiring travel to Liverpool and Manchester weekly. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with significant experience in financial reporting, governance and systems improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive experience in financial reporting.
• Strong background in financial controls and compliance processes.
• Experience with finance systems and general ledger structures.
• Ability to influence business decisions through financial analysis and insight.
• Proven track record leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead the production of annual statutory accounts and ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment to support audits and safeguard assets.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting processes for accuracy.
• Lead quarterly forecasting and support budgeting with clear financial insight.
• Contribute to development and delivery of the 30-year financial plan.
• Provide technical accounting guidance aligned with standards and best practice.
• Oversee tax compliance activities and coordinate with external advisers.
• Lead finance systems development, automation, controls and process improvement.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and deliver value for money.
• Lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
