Bayman Atkinson Smythe Ltd is seeking a Finance Manager - Financial Accounting for a hybrid role based in Haydock. You will lead the Financial Accounting team, own the month-end close, and oversee statutory accounts, group consolidation, and audits.

The role emphasizes controls, governance, and the transition to IFRS, with a focus on transforming reporting and systems while developing the team. ACA qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified (or equivalent) with 3+ years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including FRS 102, IFRS, statutory accounts and audit.
• Proven experience of group consolidations, intercompany accounting and multi-currency reporting.
• Experience leading month-end close and improving financial controls and processes.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the Financial Accounting team, overseeing month-end close and timely management accounts.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting and multi-entity group consolidations.
• Prepare entity and group statutory accounts, bringing the process in-house and leading the year-end audit.
• Manage external reporting, including lender, shareholder and covenant compliance requirements.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance, accounting policies and reporting processes.
• Play a key role in implementing updated FRS 102 and the transition to IFRS.
• Drive improvements in financial systems, automation and reporting.
• Support transformation of the Finance function and develop the team.
