You will own the group consolidation across international operating companies and act as the primary IFRS adviser to the CFO, ensuring high-quality, IFRS-compliant reporting across a decentralised structure.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Significant post-qualification experience in technical accounting or financial reporting.

• Experience managing external audits and governance requirements.
• Ability to communicate complex technical accounting issues to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all technical accounting and financial reporting matters across the group.
• Own the group consolidation process across multiple international operating companies.
• Advise CFO on IFRS developments and accounting policy.
• Review financial reporting submitted by portfolio company finance teams.
• Ensure timely production of consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee audits.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with IFRS, statutory and governance requirements.
• Support the development and enhancement of reporting processes, controls and consolidation procedures.
• Work closely with portfolio company finance teams to drive consistency and reporting best practice across the group.
• Support Board and Audit Committee reporting requirements.
• Assist with finance transformation projects, acquisitions, restructurings and other strategic initiatives.
• Provide support on treasury, tax and fund-level finance matters where required.

Brewer Morris is partnering exclusively with a highly successful and growing alternative investment platform to appoint a Head of Financial Reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior role tasked with ensuring the effective consolidation of accounts for their operating comapanies.

The role is an initial Fixed Term contract either 6, 9 or 12 months and has the opportunity to become a permanent role.

The successful candidate will take ownership of technical accounting, financial reporting and group consolidation activities across a complex, multi-jurisdictional structure. A key focus will be reporting across multiple operating companies, working closely with local finance teams to ensure high-quality, IFRS-compliant consolidated reporting. The role also provides exposure to fund-level finance activities, including governance, treasury and strategic projects where required.

Experience within a decentralised reporting environment, ideally involving multiple operating companies or portfolio businesses, is highly desirable. Listed company reporting experience would be a significant advantage, as would exposure to investment companies, infrastructure, real assets or alternative asset management.

Skills & Experience Required

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Significant post-qualified experience within technical accounting, financial reporting or group finance.
• Strong technical IFRS expertise.
• Deep experience of group consolidations and reporting across multiple entities.
• Experience operating within complex international group structures.
• Proven track record working with multiple operating companies in a decentralised finance environment.
• Listed company reporting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of statutory reporting, financial controls and corporate governance requirements.
• Experience managing external audit processes and working closely with auditors.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical accounting issues to senior stakeholders.
• Experience within infrastructure, real assets, private equity, investment management or alternative asset environments would be advantageous.
• Exposure to fund reporting or investment entity structures would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a lean, high-performing environment.
