Job summary

Interim Head of Group Consolidation & Reporting is sought by a UK-listed media business. You will own the group consolidation, lead a team of qualified accountants, and ensure accurate reporting across a large multi-entity environment during a 12-month fixed-term period.

Reporting to senior finance leaders, you will drive process improvements, partner with tax and FP&A, and deliver timely half-year and year-end reporting while navigating a complex international structure.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Experience with large-scale group consolidations.
• Hands-on IFRS and technical accounting knowledge.
• Leadership of finance teams in multinational groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly group consolidation across a complex international group.
• Manage and develop Group Financial Accountants team.
• Oversee accounting for acquisitions, disposals and corporate transactions.
• Support half-year and year-end reporting requirements.
• Partner with global subsidiaries and senior stakeholders.
• Drive improvements to reporting processes, controls and systems.

Interim Head of Group Consolidation & Reporting

A leading UK-listed media business is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Group Consolidation & Reporting to join its finance leadership team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

This is a high-profile role within a complex international group undergoing a significant period of strategic change. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the group consolidation process, lead a team of qualified accountants, and ensure accurate and timely reporting across a large multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly group consolidation process across a complex international business
• Manage and develop a team of Group Financial Accountants
• Oversee the accounting treatment of acquisitions, disposals and other corporate transactions
• Support delivery of half-year and year-end reporting requirements
• Act as a key finance partner to global subsidiaries and senior stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls and systems
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities
• Partner closely with Group Tax, Treasury and FP&A teams

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Strong background in large-scale group consolidations within a complex corporate environment
• Hands-on experience with Oracle FCCS
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Listed or large multinational group environment
• Exposure to acquisitions, disposals, carve-outs or wider corporate transactions
• Track record of delivering process improvements within reporting and consolidation functions
