• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in manufacturing finance, including standard costing and cost accounting.
• Experience of long‑term contract accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced financial analysis, reporting and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong Excel modelling capability, with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
• Experience of ERP systems and maintaining robust financial controls.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools is desirable.

At Sheffield Forgemasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Finance Business Partnering to join our team, on a 12 months fixed term contract.

This role is based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, and will be working as part of our Finance department who play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation’s financial health, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. Covering everything from day-to-day financial operations to long-term financial planning & analysis, and including the delivery of our recapitalisation programme.

As a Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will lead the Finance Business Partnering team function to drive operational excellence, commercial effectiveness and long-term value creation.

What you’ll be doing

The Working Pattern

This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 – 09:30 and 14:30 – 18:00.
