Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with an established organisation in Fareham to recruit a Head of Finance for its senior leadership team. You will lead the finance function, deliver accurate reporting, and provide insightful financial analysis to support performance and decision making.

Based in Fareham with some travel to other locations, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management and system improvements while developing the finance team and partnering with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven senior finance leadership in a sizeable, commercially focused org.
• Strong technical skills in financial control, reporting, budgeting and cash management.
• Excellent communication, analytical skills, and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, taking ownership of accurate management reporting, financial controls, statutory requirements and audit.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, providing meaningful analysis of performance, profitability, risks and opportunities.
• Maintain strong oversight of cash flow, debt, working capital and financial risk, ensuring emerging issues are identified and addressed promptly.
• Lead and develop the finance team while driving improvements to reporting, systems, processes and the quality of financial information.

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with an established and successful organisation based in Fareham, Hampshire, to recruit a Head of Finance into its senior leadership team. The Head of Finance will lead and develop the finance team, ensuring senior stakeholders have accurate, timely and meaningful financial information while providing the insight and constructive challenge required to support performance, profitability, cash generation and future decision making.

What will the Head of Finance role involve?

• Lead the finance function, taking ownership of accurate management reporting, financial controls, statutory requirements and audit
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, providing meaningful analysis of performance, profitability, risks and opportunities
• Maintain strong oversight of cash flow, debt, working capital and financial risk, ensuring emerging issues are identified and addressed promptly

Suitable Candidate for the Head of Finance vacancy:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent, with significant post-qualified experience
• Proven senior finance leadership experience within a sizeable, commercially focused organisation
• Strong technical finance skills encompassing financial control, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash management
• Commercially astute with a strong track record of business partnering and constructively challenging senior operational stakeholders
• A confident and credible communicator with strong analytical skills; advanced Excel and experience of finance systems and business intelligence tools
