Job summary

SF Partners is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead financial strategy and reporting at board level. The role combines strategic oversight with strong governance, risk management and regulatory responsibility.

You will work closely with the CEO, Board and leadership team to drive growth while maintaining financial discipline. Hybrid working with three days in the office is expected.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Senior-level finance leadership experience.
• Experience within a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial control, treasury, liquidity and risk.
• Excellent financial planning and analytical capability.
• Experience working closely with senior leadership teams and Boards.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Experience supporting organisational growth, transformation or change.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and delivery of the organisation's financial strategy.
• Providing high-quality financial insight and advice to the CEO, Board and Senior Leadership Team.
• Taking responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial planning.
• Managing the balance sheet, liquidity, capital planning and investment strategy.
• Providing oversight of treasury and cash management activities.
• Playing a key role in lending strategy, including financial performance, risk and policy.
• Monitoring financial performance and key financial ratios, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Leading stress testing, scenario planning and longer-term financial modelling.
• Ensuring robust financial controls, governance and audit processes are maintained
• Supporting strategic projects including growth, product development and digital transformation
• Maintaining effective relationships with auditors, regulators and other external stakeholders
• Leading, developing and mentoring the finance team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Head of Finance

Hybrid working ( 3 days in the office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Finance to join an established, purpose-led financial services organisation at an important stage of its continued growth and development.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and operating as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, this is a broad leadership position combining strategic finance, commercial decision-making, financial control, risk and regulatory responsibility.

The successful individual will provide financial leadership across the organisation, working closely with the CEO, Board and wider leadership team to ensure the business maintains a strong financial position while supporting its longer-term growth plans.

The role

Responsibilities will include:

The position also carries responsibility for ensuring the organisation continues to operate within the appropriate regulatory framework, including oversight of financial, credit, market and operational risk.

The person

We are looking for a commercially minded and strategically capable finance leader who is comfortable operating at both Board level and within the detail of the finance function.

You will ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
• Senior-level finance leadership experience
• Experience gained within a regulated financial services environment
• Strong knowledge of financial control, treasury, liquidity and risk
• Excellent financial planning and analytical capability
• Experience working closely with senior leadership teams and Boards
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to lead and develop a finance team
• Experience supporting organisational growth, transformation or change

Previous experience within a regulated financial organisation would be particularly advantageous.
