Equifind has partnered with a startup fintech startup in the payments and banking space. With a lean UK-based team and close collaboration with counterparts in Asia, the business offers plenty of flexibility, autonomy, and room to make an impact.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned accountant to shape a newly created finance function while working closely with the Founder and CEO to support the commercial and strategic direction of the business.

• Own and develop all aspects of finance — from reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and controls through to cash management and compliance
• Act as a true business partner to the CEO and wider leadership team
• Build scalable financial systems and processes to support rapid growth
• Lead on board reporting, investor relations, and fundraising support (including modelling and due diligence)
• Set up and manage internal controls, accounting policies, and month-end processes
• Support international expansion and manage global financial operations as needed
• Build out and lead the finance team over time as the company grows
• Support with the development of the financial policies and procedures to comply with the latest FCA reporting requirements

Key requirements

• ACA/CA qualified accountant, preferably trained in audit
• A minimum of 5 years experience, ideally working within a group function
• Prior experience of working with FCA or SEC regulated businesses
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements
• Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills
