Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Head of Facilities Management to shape a major transformation across UK & Ireland. You will lead a strategic, multi-site FM function, transitioning to an outsourced model while building a strong partnership with the FM provider.

You will drive governance, asset lifecycle planning and compliance, aligning estates with business objectives and operational needs. This role requires senior leadership and cross-site coordination across locations in the UK.

Qualifications

• Senior Facilities Management leadership experience in a complex, multi-site organisation.
• Experience leading first-generation FM outsourcing, transition and mobilisation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and governance of outsourced contracts.
• Strategic view of FM as a driver of business performance and asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK & Ireland FM strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Line management of two Facilities Managers across divisions.
• Manage transition to outsourced FM operating model and governance.
• Build a true partnership with the FM provider, not just a client-contractor relationship.
• Align FM standards and priorities across divisions, sites and legal entities.
• Establish governance, KPIs, reporting for compliance, performance and risk.
• Oversee statutory/regulatory FM compliance and remedial actions.
• Develop multi-year FM and asset lifecycle roadmap including CAPEX and sustainability.
• Move from reactive to planned, data-led maintenance across estate.
• Collaborate with site leaders to drive estate optimisation and future investment.
• Inform CAPEX decisions with asset condition and lifecycle data.
