Job summary

Priory Hospital Nelson House, Gosport, Hampshire, is seeking a Head of Facilities to lead hospital Estates and Facilities, with responsibility for daily operations and a multi-team structure.

The role combines senior management leadership with delivery of high-quality services in a rehabilitation setting, requiring strong budgets, safety oversight, and a clear people-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience of direct line management, ideally at a senior management level.
• Experience working within Healthcare or Hospitality in a similar operational role.
• Strong project management experience with relevant qualification.
• Experience of budget management and financial responsibility.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, with an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in situations involving ambiguity and change.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hospital operations, including Estates and Facilities.
• Direct line management of Housekeeping, Administration, Medical Secretaries, Maintenance, Reception and Catering teams.
• Participate as a member of the Hospital Senior Management Team and provide cover to the wider site as needed.
