Job summary

RecruitMe is seeking a Head of Facilities for a major live entertainment venue in Nottingham. You will take overall responsibility for the facilities operation, leading facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, cleaning and event support teams to ensure safety, reliability and great service during concerts and events.

You will own the planned maintenance strategy, improve asset reliability, embed SOPs, ensure health and safety compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the venue and wider

Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely is essential.
• NEBOSH or related facilities/engineering qualification advantageous.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical/operational teams in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the planned preventative maintenance strategy.
• Improve asset reliability and reduce reactive maintenance.
• Create and embed SOPs and consistent operating standards.
• Ensure health & safety compliance, statutory testing and life-safety requirements.
• Build team capability through training and coaching.

Are you an experienced facilities leader who enjoys being close to the operation, developing people and improving how things are done?

We're recruiting a Head of Facilities for a major live entertainment venue in Nottingham.

Hosting concerts, sporting events and large public experiences, this is a busy, highly visible environment where safety, reliability and service standards really matter.

The Head of Facilities will lead teams across facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, cleaning and event support, with the authority to improve standards, strengthen procedures and develop a more proactive maintenance operation.

Direct reports; Facility Managers (ICE, Assets, Events & Housekeeping), Asset and Compliance Manager.

You'll take overall responsibility for the venue's facilities operation, including:

• Owning the planned preventative maintenance strategy
• Improving asset reliability and reducing reactive maintenance
• Creating and embedding SOPs and consistent operating standards
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, statutory testing and life-safety requirements
• Building team capability through training, coaching and clear expectations
• Working closely with event teams to support safe and efficient event turnarounds
• Managing budgets, resources, suppliers and operational performance
• Driving continuous improvement across the venue and wider estate

The organisation is open to new ideas and wants a new Head of Facilities who will challenge established ways of working.

What We're Looking For

You’ll be an established facilities, estates or operational leader with experience managing technical and operational teams in a complex environment.

If you've improved maintenance planning, introduced stronger procedures or developed high performing in house teams, you'll have the freedom to make a genuine impact.

IOSH Managing Safely is essential. NEBOSH or a relevant facilities, engineering or building-services qualification would be advantageous.

As Head of Facilities you'll bring:

• Senior facilities, estates, engineering or venue-operations experience
• Experience leading directly employed, multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong knowledge of PPM, asset management and building services
• Experience creating SOPs and structured operating procedures
• Good knowledge of health and safety, compliance and statutory maintenance
• A visible, coaching-led leadership style
• Strong budget, resource and performance-management skills
• The confidence to challenge, improve and introduce new ideas
