Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking an ambitious leader to become the Experts at Hand (EAH) Lead, shaping SEND reform and equity of access across the county. You will oversee implementation, governance and performance while working with Families First, health and education partners to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

The role requires strong SEND experience, strategic leadership, and a commitment to inclusive practice, data-informed decisions, and collaborative service

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of working within SEND, with strong leadership skills.
• Proven ability to lead service improvement and partnership work across complex systems.
• Ability to use data, evidence and professional judgement to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of the EAH model.
• Oversee performance, quality assurance and governance arrangements.
• Collaborate with Families First, Neighbourhood Health, Best Start in Life, education, health, and social care partners to improve SEND outcomes.
