Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking an ambitious and motivated leader to become the Experts at Hand (EAH) Lead, overseeing the first operational implementation of the EAH model as part of the Local SEND Reform Plan. The role requires strategic influence and cross-agency collaboration to deliver equitable support for children and young people with SEND.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of working within SEND.
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to lead service improvement and partnership working across complex systems.
• Solid understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive practice.
• Ability to use data, evidence and professional judgement to influence strategic and operational decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of the Experts at Hand (EAH) model, overseeing performance, quality assurance, governance and the use of data to drive service improvement.
• Collaborate withFamilies First, Neighbourhood Health, Best Start in Life, and education, health, social care and other partners to strengthen inclusive practice and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
