Job summary

Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea is seeking an inspirational, guest-focused Head of Entertainment to lead one of the UK's most respected resort entertainment teams. As part of the Resort Management Team, you will oversee daytime activities, evening entertainment, events and guest interaction, delivering an outstanding holiday experience.

This senior role requires a proven track record in hospitality leadership, budget management, safeguarding knowledge and a passion for developing people to elevate

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large hospitality, leisure, resort, holiday park, cruise or entertainment teams.
• Excellent operational planning and organisational skills.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing departmental budgets and labour costs.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safeguarding responsibilities in guest-facing environments.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing entertainment team with a culture of professionalism and guest service.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Entertainment Department and ensure high standards across activities.
• Plan and deliver daytime activities, hosted events and evening entertainment outside main theatre productions.
• Evolve the entertainment programme with fresh ideas to stay market-leading.
• Engage with guests across the resort to ensure exceptional service at every touchpoint.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.
• Recruit, coach, and manage performance and succession planning within the department.
• Manage budgets, labour resources, and operational costs for the department.
• Collaborate with other resort departments to deliver a fully inclusive guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding policies.
