Job summary

Slough Borough Council is seeking a Head of Enterprise Risk to lead our enterprise risk management, insurance and claims and business continuity functions. This senior role will shape corporate strategy, financial sustainability and governance across the organisation.

You will work with the Corporate Leadership Team, elected Members and the Section 151 Officer to embed proactive risk management and resilience, ensuring robust insurance and continuity arrangements aligned to priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise risk management in a large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of insurance and business continuity.
• Ability to influence at senior levels across corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise risk management, insurance and claims, and business continuity functions.
• Provide trusted advice and challenge on strategic, financial, operational, regulatory and reputational risk.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Leadership Team and external partners to embed a pro-active risk culture.
