Job summary

Moniepoint is seeking a Head of Engineering, Supply Chain to lead the software estate behind inventory, logistics and device management for millions of POS terminals across markets. You will own the technical strategy and architecture, and manage a large engineering organization in a remote, distributed environment.

The role requires building scalable systems, aligning with stakeholders, mentoring managers, and driving platformisation to ensure reliable, trustworthy data as Moniepoint expands

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases
• 5+ years hands-on production-level experience writing and shipping Java code
• At least 5 years of experience managing managers and leading engineering organisations
• Deep hands-on experience in supply chain, inventory, warehouse or logistics software at scale
• Fintech or regulated-industry experience with understanding of device management in a payments environment
• Proven system design ability at large scale, managing hundreds of thousands of devices or more
• Experience managing and developing large engineering teams of 20+ members
• Excellent stakeholder management, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical leaders
• A product-minded approach to solving operational problems with engineering solutions

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for inventory and logistics tools and repair management software
• Lead an engineering organisation of ~25 engineers including managers, QA, SRE and Data Engineering
• Drive platformisation of inventory and supply chain systems for visible, trustworthy data across millions of terminals
• Bridge operational practice and software systems with operationally disciplined solutions
• Define architecture standards, processes and quality metrics across squads for reliability and data integrity
• Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to translate requirements into engineering solutions
• Hire, mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers to support growth to 30+ members
