Job summary

Adept Resourcing is assisting a long-established Sheffield-based manufacturer to appoint an experienced Head of Engineering and Projects. You will lead the engineering function and capital project portfolio, delivering safety-focused, reliable and efficient operations.

Develop the engineering strategy, improve asset reliability, and drive investment that enhances capacity, quality, productivity and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering.
• Substantial leadership in metals processing or asset-intensive manufacturing.
• Experience delivering capital projects involving plant installation and commissioning.
• Strong maintenance strategy and asset reliability knowledge.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering function and capital project portfolio.
• Develop and maintain prioritised engineering roadmap.
• Set engineering standards across site portfolio.
• Oversee maintenance planning and reliability strategy.
• Deliver capital projects from feasibility to handover.
• Ensure safety, environmental and compliance.
