Job summary

Carbon ThreeSixty is recruiting an Engineering Manager for CFRP wheels and automotive projects based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The role leads the engineering team, drives design-to-manufacture excellence, and partners with BD/Commercial to respond to customer needs.

You will own critical projects end-to-end, ensure rigorous documentation and revision control, and push for innovation and continuous improvement across engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering design-to-manufacture in Automotive/Motorsport/Defence or Aerospace.
• Prior experience with composites and wheels is preferred but not essential.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Respond quickly and accurately to customer enquiries with Business Development/Commercial teams.
• Own key projects from concept through delivery and ongoing support.
• Ensure drawings, BOMs, BOPs and documentation have clear revision control.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality to define and maintain critical quality characteristics.
• Engage with suppliers to meet project and business needs.
• Drive innovation and identify efficiency improvements and new technologies.
• Support continuous improvement across the organisation.
• Provide hands-on technical support and understand processes to identify improvements.
• Coach, mentor and develop engineers to fulfil potential.
• Advocate for the business to customers and future employees.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
