Job summary

Kinly seeks a Head of Engineering to lead the day-to-day engineering team, set culture and direction, and partner with the CTO on strategy. You will own architecture standards and drive technical governance across the platform while remaining credible in hands-on discussions when needed.

You will guide hiring, mentorship, and career development for engineers and tech leads, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and evolving technology trends.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or significantly influencing an engineering team.
• Strong background in system design and credible on architecture decisions.
• Familiarity with modern web stacks (React, Python/FastAPI) and cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM, and building AI-native development processes.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Be the day-to-day leader for the engineering team, setting motivation, culture, and direction.
• Set architectural standards and oversee technical debt and scalability.
• Represent engineering in leadership discussions and translate business priorities into tech strategy.
