Job summary

Keyline care supported living is opening a brand-new Ofsted-registered education provision and seeks a Head of Education to lead its development and ongoing success. You will establish a high-quality, inclusive setting for children and young people aged 7-17 with SEND, SEMH and SEBD.

Working with the senior leadership team, you will drive strategic and operational leadership, Ofsted registration, and curriculum design, ensuring outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

• An inspirational and experienced educational leader with a passion for inclusive and alternative education.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or another recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Leadership experience within an educational setting.
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, SEMH, behavioural needs and complex presentations.
• Creative thinker who can engage students through alternative learning approaches.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to establish and develop a high-quality educational provision.
• Strong relationship-builder with patience, empathy, and resilience.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic and operational leadership for the education provision.
• Leading the provision through Ofsted registration, inspection and ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Developing and implementing an engaging, inclusive and ambitious curriculum that meets learners' needs.
• Monitoring teaching quality, learning outcomes and learner progress to ensure the highest standards.
• Collaborating with Therapists, residential colleagues, families and external professionals to support learners.
• Managing safeguarding, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing across the provision.
• Ensuring all policies and practices comply with statutory requirements and best practice.
• Supporting children and young people to achieve positive educational, social and emotional outcomes.
• Playing a key role in the growth and development of the provision and contributing to Keyline's vision for outstanding education.
