Job summary

Southlands School in Lymington, Hampshire is seeking a Head of Education to lead the education team and work closely with the Head of Care and Principal to continue the journey to an Ofsted rated 'OUTSTANDING' provider of specialist education.

The role is based in a 40-hour week across 42 weeks per year, with a salary up to £65,520 DOE. The school supports 7–19 year olds with autism, combining day and residential education and care.

This an exciting opportunity to lead the dynamic and forward-thinking education team at Cambian Southlands School. We want a passionate leader to become the next Head of Education and work closely with the Head of Care and Principal to continue the journey to being an Ofsted rated 'OUTSTANDING' provider of specialist education.

Southlands School is an Ofsted-registered co-education specialist day and residential school with a registered children’s home.We provide education and care, supported by our multi-disciplinary clinical team, for children and young people aged 7-19 years who have a primary diagnosis of Autism or whose profile of need can be successfully supported by the use of autism specialist strategies.

The Key Strategic Responsibilities are:

The Head of Education will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and follow school policies and the staff code of conduct.
