Base pay range

Farrow and Ball - Head of Ecommerce, Wimborne, Dorset (40 hours per week)

We have an exciting, new opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Ecommerce team in Wimborne as a Head of Ecommerce. We are offering this position on a full-time basis working between our offices based in Wimborne (approx 2 days per week) and home.

Farrow & Ball are a luxury British lifestyle brand that prides itself in creating richly pigmented paint and handcrafted wallpaper, using print methods dating back 300 years and the finest quality ingredients.

The unique Farrow & Ball look transforms modern and traditional homes, large and small, inside and out. Established in Dorset in 1946, we have grown over the last 75 years and now proudly have 60 showrooms worldwide with a global network of stockists.

The key to our success is the people behind the paint: from the team handcrafting each tin to showroom staff to support functions, our shared passion ensures customers have a positive, engaging experience at every stage of their journey with us.

As the Head of Ecommerce, this role will be responsible for managing a team of 3 direct reports, delivering weekly targets across both B2C and B2B online markets and working with our global teams to ensure F&B online presence represents all customer markets.

What we expect from you as a Head of Ecommerce

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering the weekly targets in sales and profitability for F&Bs global B2C and B2B websites
  • Own the eCommerce sales funnel working to improve conversion rates and lower customer acquisition costs.
  • Responsible for planning optimisation and strategic change to meet sales targets as well as other company growth objectives e.g. NA Designer Strategy
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to drive improvements for the Ecommerce customer.
  • Manage the Digital Experience, Digital Marketing and Digital CR Teams, leading and mentoring them, to grow a high-performance team.
  • Oversee development, performance, and optimization of the websites and portals.
  • Oversee traffic strategies - paid and organic working with the team on how to meet traffic budgets in line with sales, and how best to optimise our digital campaigns and channels.
  • Oversee Digital CR Experience Team working with them on how to maximise customer retention and delight, including oversight of customer ratings
  • Responsible for all new product launches on Ecommerce channels, setting out the channel plans.
  • Represent Ecommerce at the SLT and work cross-functionally on all Horizon 1 projects and meetings.
  • Own Ecomm Risk Register providing quarterly review of risks and mitigation.
  • Weekly reporting of KPIs and changes to forecast for production and planning
  • Identify and analyse e-commerce trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to develop and refine in-house strategy.
  • Utilise analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PowerBI, MAPP etc.) to track and optimise e-commerce performance, user behaviour, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Work with Purchasing and Finance to deliver value for money from our systems.

Key Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree - ideally in Marketing, Business, eCommerce, or related field
  • Proven experience in eCommerce, with demonstrable leadership experience
  • Proven track record of driving online sales growth and improving digital performance.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc.).
  • Experience with web analytics (Google Analytics, GA4), CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset.
